North East WRAP 2018North East WRAP 2018Time: 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
WRAP is a tool to help people manage their health, wellbeing and recovery. Workshop facilitators are people living with mental health conditions who truly understand many of the challenges that participants face and provide a supportive and welcoming environment! WRAP™ was developed for people who have experienced mental health issues but it can be helpful to anyone who wants to improve their wellbeing. Topics include:
• Wellness Tools: Ways we can stay well
• Daily Maintenance Planning: Things we need to do to keep well
• Triggers: Events that makes us feel worse
• Crisis Planning: A plan to take care of ourselves
Workshop is available to: People interested in mental health and recovery, people living with mental health and addictions issues, staff of VCH, supporters and family members. There is a follow up support group called Working Our WRAP™ for extra help on making your plan!

This is a peer led, drop in support group for people who hear voices, see visions or have other unusual sensory experiences. It is based on the International Hearing Voices Network. You do not have to be a mental health team client to attend. Location is: 300-30 East 6th Ave, Vancouver, in the boardroom. The group meets on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. An ongoing support group open to anyone who has a diagnosis of a mental illness or addiction, or families and supporters. The group meets every 2nd Sunday of the month at 1725 Venables Street by Commercial Drive at the Kettle Friendship Society. The support group uses principles of support, emotional stages of recovery and problem solving skills from the BRIDGES course material. Call 604 708 5274 for more details
