MISSION STATEMENT

The Consumer Initiative Fund supports projects that are proposed, managed and run by consumer/survivors of the Vancouver Community Mental Health Services. Participation in this Initiative, either as committee members or project managers, enables consumer/survivors to develop leadership and business skills while providing rehabilitation and recovery opportunities for other consumer/survivors.

Values:

• Consumer/survivor empowerment
• The increase of self-determination and promotion of dignity
• Development of own recovery strategies towards community integration
