Support Group for LGTB people caring for a loved one with a mental illness
Announcing a new online support group for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people who have a relative, partner or friend with a mental illness or mental health concern. The support group is free, private, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is professionally facilitated by a member of our LGBT community. At the group, members can talk privately and anonymously about what is going on in their lives, talk to others in similar situations, ask questions and get referrals to local resources. The site includes LGBT-specific mental health information and is in the same location as other family and supporter online support groups that also welcome LGBT persons. To read about the group and get involved, just visit www.support.bcss.org. If you have any questions about the group, please contact the facilitator at onlinesupport@bcss.org
