Peer Facilitated Workshops

Vancouver Coastal Health offers several Peer Facilitated Workshops with a focus on mental health, psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery.

Participants can include: people with lived experience and addiction issues, staff of VCH, clients of VCH, people with lived experience not connected to a mental health team and supporters and family members.

First and Third Fridays of the month. No meetings on stat holidays.

An ongoing support group open to anyone who has a diagnosis of a mental illness or addiction, or families and supporters. The group meets every 2nd Sunday of the month at 1725 Venables Street by Commercial Drive at the Kettle Friendship Society. The support group uses principles of support, emotional stages of recovery and problem solving skills from the BRIDGES course material. Call 604 708 5274 for more details

This is a peer led, drop in support group for people who hear voices, see visions or have other unusual sensory experiences. It is based on the International Hearing Voices Network. You do not have to be a mental health team client to attend. Location is: 300-30 East 6th Ave, Vancouver, in the boardroom. The group meets on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.
