Web based health care delivery is in its infant stages, but the momentum grows quickly. Facebook and email are now something for the elder generation, new ways of instant communication come up especially among youth with their extensive use of mobile technologies. There is no doubt that mobile will shape youth health care especially mental health care.
New ways of engagement, interactivity and functionality create exciting opportunities we want to present. So Dr. Sally Merry an adolescent psychiatrist from Auckland will share her work on gamification with us, treating anxiety with SPARX. Dr. John Cunningham from Canberra will reflect on the Australian experiences, a country where a lot of things happen in regards to youth mental health e.g., around the Headspace model. Researchers and developers from Germany, the Netherlands, the US and several Canadian cities will also be present to share their experiences. An opportunity you should not miss.
