2:00/2:15pm BCSS AGM Education Session — “A Tool for Wellness: The BC Mental Health Act”

For this year’s BCSS AGM Education Session, Hardeep Thind (BCSS Coastal Region Manager) will be hosting an intimate discussion with Dr. Vijay Seethapathy about the BC Mental Health Act. What is it? How is it used? What can families do and what do they go through? How can we make it easier for families to become involved in this process? Dr. Seethapathy will be sharing his thoughts and suggestions on the matter before taking questions from attendees.

We’ll also get a chance to hear directly from families about their own experiences with the BC Mental Health Act — how they made the decision to go this route and what then happened afterwards. Dr. Randall White, from the BC Psychosis Program and Medical Director for VCH’s Community Mental Health, will also share with attendees how he sees this affecting the community members he works with on a daily basis.

This event will be recorded and is made possible with generous support from Abbvie.
