Financial support was given to the following projects in 2012
CIF ART SUPPLIES BURSARY: $85 gift cards to DeSerres Art Store are available to active Art Studios members for art supplies through monthly draws. Limit one per person per fiscal year. Contact Jennifer at 604-736-2033 ext: 2218
CIF CRISIS FUND: For adult Vancouver residents, a $75 grant is available with a referral from a health care worker. Individuals may receive the grant once per year. Contact Seema 604-736-2033 ext: 2239
CIF EDUCATION AND LEISURE FUND: Draws for funds of up to $400 are available for education and leisure courses or activities. Contact Joan at 604-736-2033 ext: 2202
BREATHE/WRITE: A relaxing/writing workshop to ‘breathe, write and speak’ yourself and your life. Supportive, fun and active. Public ‘open-mic’ opportunities in Dec and Feb.
EVERGREEN PROJECT: For people in the northeast Vancouver area, this program offers opportunities for friendship, outings and special events.
HIGHS & LOWS CHOIR: A fun and friendly choir for people with lived experience of mental illness and their friends and supporters. No prior experience required. Contact Kevin at 604-714-3777 ext: 2255
SHARING STORIES (of Mental illness and Recovery): Through a learning process, participants are encouraged to share and write their experiences.
SPARK: 1 idea, 100 ways: This project’s aim is to engage one hundred people in creating 100 art images with a common theme to be displayed in an online gallery. Visit: www.thespark100project.com or email: email@example.com
SPIRIT OF RECOVERY: This website at www.SpiritofRecovery.ca is an online forum for people to share spiritual resources and experiences in a safe environment.
TARDIVE DYSKINESIA SUPPORT GROUP: A support group for people experiencing tardive dyskinesia.
