Free Willow Pavilion Self Care Education Evening
Willow Pavilion’s Mental Health & Addiction Family Education Evening February 2016 You are invited to attend the February family Education Evening at Willow Pavilion. This event is part of an ongoing series of monthly education evenings intended for families and friends of individuals experiencing serious mental illnesses. The guest speaker will be Donya Jalali, a social work student with the Older Adult Program at Willow Pavilion. Donya will be talking about Self Care – practices and activities that we engage in regularly to reduce stress and maintain our short and long term health and well-being. Self care is important and necessary for your success and effectiveness in honoring your commitment to your family and yourself. The talk will include information on what self care is, why it is important, and how to develop a care plan for your self. The evening will include pampering treatments such as hand massages, manicures and/or facials with Gail (activity worker with the older adult team) to reward and relax you for all your daily efforts. This as well is an opportunity to connect informally with other family members. Date: Wed Feb 17, 2016 6-8PM *Please let us know if you require translation services* Space is Limited!
