The Speaker Series, presented by Douglas College Health Sciences Department, brings to the College community, and our surrounding community, compelling speakers covering an exciting range of topics on health issues that impact our region, our country and our world.
On January 19th, Michael Pond will be discussing his compelling story of struggling with alcoholism and his journey back to sobriety. Michael having experienced the hard realities of alcoholism and losing his practice as a Therapist sheds new light on our local treatment practices and policies regarding alcoholism.

On February 16th, homeless advocate Judy Graves, will be sharing her inspiring story of her work in the DTES, developing successful solutions, such as the Homeless Outreach Program, now used by BC Housing in 50 communities across BC.
These two sessions are free and open to the public, so save the dates and spread the word!
They are scheduled from 1030-1130, Room A1470 at Douglas College, Coquitlam Campus at 1250 Pinetree Way.
