Background: The Acute Clinical Practice Committee is a standing committee that meets once a month to discuss and decide on implementing, changing and maintaining practices that support and enhance the treatment and wellbeing of psychiatric inpatients at Vancouver General Hospital.

Your Involvement: The committee is hoping to recruit 1 – 2 CEAN members to bring in the patient and family member voice. They hope that staff attitudes and practices will be informed by hearing from current or former patients and family members. The committee is seeking individuals who have some experience working collaboratively, preferably in a health related setting, and who are either:

Former Clients – persons with personal experience of a mental illness AND who have experience, either personally or as a supporter, with acute psychiatric hospitalization in the last five years, preferably at VGH

OR

Close supporters of someone with a mental illness AND whose loved one has experienced acute psychiatric hospitalization in the last five years, preferably at VGH.
