The Sea to Sky Peer and Family Advisory Committee (PFAC) is looking for new members!
This advisory committee represents the voices of clients and families of clients of mental health and substance use services in the Sea to Sky area of the Vancouver Coastal Health Region (VCH).
The Peer and Family Advisory Committee (PFAC) meets online monthly to discuss how to improve Mental Health and Substance Use services for families and consumers, and to learn about developments in services through guest speakers and information-sharing.
The only qualifications for committee membership are being a client or the family member of a client of VCH Mental Health and Substance Use services. If you have this experience, you have valuable knowledge and experience to contribute to the committee. Becoming a member of this committee is a way to use your knowledge and experience to benefit the community by helping to improve mental health and addictions services. On this committee, you will be part of a community of citizen advisors who provide a valuable service to our public health care system.
This is a volunteer role, with a paid honorarium for meeting attendance.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the committee, or if you have questions about this opportunity, please contact Stephanie Devlin at Stephanie.devlin@vch.ca
