World Aids Day: Dec. 1, 2017

Hi All
To those I haven’t seen or spoken to lately, hi, hope all is well with everyone.  I am currently volunteering in the HIV service community and learning quite a lot.  This month actually marked 20 years since I was diagnosed positive, and I have been meeting many other long term survivors.

This Friday, December 1, 2017 is World AIDS Day, and marks the beginning of AIDS Awareness Week.

I have attached a schedule of events at the Carnegie Centre, that you and/or your patients may be interested in, as well as a poster for a raffle, that McLaren Housing Society is holding.  I live in a McLaren building, and am volunteering with them, as well as with AIDS Vancouver.  Ticket sales end Friday at noon, at Carnegie Centre, and Thursday evening through this email.  The draw is at 3:00pm on Friday December 1, 2017.

Would you please forward this email to your mailing lists.  If anyone would like to order tickets through this email, contact presumedduggy@gmail.com and I will arrange to bring tickets to VGH, or the MHTs as needed, or you can contact McLaren Housing at the number on the poster, or visit Carnegie Centre from 9:00am on Friday.

Best wishes to all, and thanks for passing on the news.

Douglas Locke
