Many still wonder if it’s possible for those of us who experience mental illness or mental health issues to develop and accomplish our own goals, reconnect with ourselves and others and recapture meaning and purpose in our lives. We are here to say: YES!
‘Your Recovery Journey’ (YRJ) is based on the experiences of people with lived experience of mental illness/mental health issues, who know there is hope, who live in recovery and who plan, manage and lead full lives with others and in community.
This NO-COST program, offered by Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), Mental Health and Addictions, was first developed in 2009 by the Schizophrenia Society of Canada and is now open to all. YRJ offers a personal workbook and five weekly 90-minute group sessions facilitated by mental health peers. Learn more about starting or continuing Your Recovery Journey in a relaxed and welcoming environment, where we’ll share information, peer knowledge and experience, support, local resources and ideas.
